    What Is the Olfactory Limbic Pathway?

    The olfactory limbic pathway is the neural route that carries scent signals from the nose to the limbic system, the network of brain structures responsible for emotion, memory, and autonomic regulation. It is the only sensory pathway in the human brain that bypasses the thalamic relay, the filtering structure that every other sense passes through.
